Genesis 22: His Only Son

“Abraham said, “God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they went both of them together.” Genesis 22:8 ESV

Ever since our study of Hebrews 11, I’ve wanted to dig further into this story of Abraham and his son Isaac.

This story is not just about Abraham and Isaac; it’s also about God the Father and His Son, who would become the ultimate sacrifice on the cross.

In this study, we will examine some of these parallels, going back and forth between the New Testament and the Old. We will mark words, compare passages, and see how this story points us to Jesus.
