Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, you are very great!
You are clothed with splendor and majesty, covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent. (Psalm 104:1-2)
Psalm 104 is a poetic recounting of God’s creation, and this study will give you an opportunity to try out your creative side with some drawings, similar to the Psalm 19 study we did a few years ago.
Even if you don’t consider yourself an “artsy” person, this study will be relaxed and fun. Consider getting some of your kids involved too!
We’ll take a verse or two of the Psalm each day and meditate on it. We’ll copy verses, we’ll consult commentaries like Spurgeon’s Treasury of David, and we’ll draw some fun pictures to help us remember and think about this Psalm.
You’ll want some colored pencils for this study. I’ll provide printable pages you can mark and draw on, or you can draw in your Bible margins, or maybe pick out a special notebook just for this study.
Join me as we delve into the wonder of God’s creation and His care for us!

What Others Have Said
Pam has changed the way I study the Bible over the years. This has been one of my favorite studies because of the drawing videos. So helpful and encouraging!
I am no artist. I’ve done Pam’s studies for many years and used to skip drawing lessons. But the videos she provided for Psalm 104 were so helpful to me. I can honestly say I did a drawing for every lesson - and thoroughly enjoyed the process. I know making the videos was extra effort, but they were a blessing to someone like me who can’t draw things from memory, but can follow step by step instructions.
Each day I studied opened my eyes to the wonder of God’s creation all around me. He has provided this beautiful world for His glory and our good. Of course He will provide for the needs of His children.
I am no artist but I am a worshiper of God, and I'm always delighted to find things that inspire my worship in greater ways. So I wrote out Psalm 104 and I drew many pictures and colored them in (with lots of help from Pam's examples) and now I have a lovely booklet of praise. At the end of the month, when I looked over the entire Psalm, the pictures reminded me of God's work in creation and How Great God Is! Praise the Lord!
