“The righteous will never be removed, but the wicked will not dwell in the land.” (Proverbs 10:30)
“The Righteous and the Wicked” is a study I’ve been looking forward to doing together for a long time. Now is the right time! The year 2020 has brought into even sharper focus the difference our relationship with God makes in every part of our lives. What we believe about God affects how we see others, how we see ourselves, how we treat others and their belongings, how we think the world should operate, and so much more!
In this study, we will be reading one chapter of Proverbs a day. We will be looking for what God says about the righteous (those who love and obey God) and the wicked (those who hate and disobey God.) We’ll be making lists to help us compare what they do and say, how they think, how they view the future, how they treat others, and their effect on the generations that follow them.
We’ll see over and over God’s promised care and faithfulness for those who love Him, and His eventual judgment of those who rebel against Him. These are truths that can give us courage and patience in the midst of the chaos we are currently seeing all around us.
We’ll make lists, mark some words, draw a few pictures (because they always help us remember what we’re reading better), and pray for a better understanding of and compassion for those who seek to live outside of God’s good plan for life.
If you’re looking for a more relaxed, slow-moving study (with some suggestions for digging deeper if you’d like to), and if you need a good solid reminder of God’s promises for those who love and obey Him, this is a study for you! I’ll look forward to studying along with you!

A Light for Your Path!
By: Susan Menzmer
This study on the Wicked and the Righteous will show you clearly God’s instruction for you! I never realized before how many very specific instructions God has given us in His Word on this topic! You will learn what the Wicked and the Righteous do, what they DON’T do, what they are compared to, what happens to them in the end, what happens to their descendants, what God’s response to them is, and much much more! I felt like this study was a light to my path, showing me clearly what God desires for me to do. It was such a blessing—well worth the time spent!
