Starting October 1, we’re going to be studying a Godly woman who’s commended for her faith. We’ll look at Sarah’s background, her story in Genesis, and what God says about her later in 1 Peter 3 and Hebrews 11. She has an interesting story!
We’ll be marking words, making observations, studying other words, and looking at commentaries when we encounter some of the more difficult passages.
And there are difficult passages, because Sarah was a real woman just like us. She faced many of the same fears and uncertainties that we face. And yet God honors her desire to obey, and her perseverance. I think we’ll learn a lot from her example.
In this study, you’ll find optional tools to teach someone else how to study the Bible along with you. In this Level 5 study , we’ll talk specifically about teaching your daughters as you study Sarah together.
I hope you’ll join me!

A Woman Like Us!
By: Susan Menzmer
This study on Sarah has helped me to slow down and really study this Biblical woman whom Scripture holds up as an example to us. Was she perfect? No! Did she make mistakes? Yes! And yet she is given to us as an example to follow. An imperfect example, true, as only Jesus is a perfect example, but Sarah is still someone that we can learn so very very much from! I was greatly blessed by the time spent getting to know this “Mother in Israel!”
