“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (1 Thes. 5:18 KJV)
Giving thanks for everything is not easy. But this topical study of thankfulness and gratitude will help us practice doing what often doesn’t come naturally.
We’ll use a concordance to search for the words “thanks” and “thanksgiving” in the Bible, see what those verses say, and then consider how we can actually do what they say.
What can we give thanks for? Who should we give thanks to?
We’ll have some practical homework each day applying what we’ve just read from God’s Word.
- We’ll see how much God loves us.
- We’ll be reminded of what He’s done for us.
- We’ll be reminded of all He’s given us.
And this will grow our love, thankfulness, and praise for God.
This will be an easier study, with things your children or friends can join in and do with you. It’s great for beginners, or if you’ve been studying with us for a long time. What we’re about to learn is applicable to all of us!
