Galatians 4:4-5 The Fullness of Time

“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.” (Galatians 4:4-5, ESV)

The accounts of Jesus’ birth in Luke and Matthew, after years of Christmas programs and storybooks, can become so familiar that we forget just how amazing the story of Christmas is. The Creator of all things sent His Son to live as a man among us!

In this “Fullness of Time” study we’re going to take a fresh look at what happened at Christmas. We’re going to spend a couple weeks poring over just one gospel-packed sentence in the Bible.

We’re going to be short and sweet, relaxing and slowing down in what can be a very busy or lonely season of the year to reflect on each phrase of Galatians 4:4-5.

We’ll branch out to read other verses related to our passage.
We’ll spend some time enjoying old and new Christmas songs that echo the message of our passage.
We’ll reflect on the facts and we’ll stop to ponder and imagine.

If you struggle to keep your focus on Christ at Christmas, this is the study for you.
If you want a laid-back, simple study to feed on during the season, this is the study for you.
If you want to renew your wonder and appreciation for what God did on that first Christmas night, this study is for you.
I know this study is for me, and I hope you’ll take the time to join me!
