Titus: Saved for Godly Living

“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.” (Titus 2:3-5 ESV)

Paul left Titus on the island of Crete with young believers who were living in the midst of a corrupt culture. He gave him instructions on organizing a church and teaching his people to live godly lives.

We’re going to study the whole book of Titus, made up of 3 short chapters. We’ll look at the instructions Paul gave to Titus, and how they relate to us as women. As mothers raising our sons. As wives supporting our husbands. As women setting an example for our daughters and other young women around us.

Whether you are 18 or 80, you are an older woman to somebody. You have something to offer to those who are younger than you.

Its a passage I’ve been wanting to study together for a long time. I hope you’ll join me!

What Others Have Said

He Saved Us
By: Susan Menzmer

Studying the book of Titus will open your eyes to not only the way things “were” in Bible times, but will also give you current instruction for YOU today! No matter if you are old or young, a supervisor or a beginning employee or a home maker—there is instruction for you. You will see what God’s grace can do in changing someone from one way to the complete opposite. And you will see that the sum total truth is that He saved us. Highly recommend this study!
